Have used taps from Bristan before and to be honest Bristan is certainly the brand for taps for our family. Had no issues with the previous one; as it lasted 10 years long. Now we have purchased this and; we are pretty confident it will last long. Its been installed since last 4 weeks and its working smooth till date. QS Staff was also very helpful and they did notified us before delivery. Thanks Guys!
I installed this for a customer who had a conventional bath mixer but wanted a shower without disrupting decoration or tiling in her bathroom. Simply removed the old mixer and installed this. This also appealed as it is fitted with a thermostat controlling the water temperature. My customer was happy and I would certainly install this again.
Very pleased with the overall appearance and performance of this product. It looks good and performs very well in controlling water temperature for bath and shower.
Well built to a neat design, simple to operate with effective temperature control. Good service from QS Supplies, at a competitive price, with prompt delivery.
They seem like very good quality. Not fitted yet

Simon Asked :Does this shut off the cold completely to run just the hot
This mixer is thermostatic. This means that hot and cold water mixes within a certain temperature range before leaving the tap. This is for health and safety reasons, meaning the shower will never run, just very warm or cold.
John Asked :Does the Bristan Artisan AR2 THBSM C thermostatic bath shower mixer comply with TMV2 for prevention of scalding?
Bristan AR2 THBSM C is controlled by a thermostatic cartridge and is not TMV-approved.
Paul Asked :Can the hot/cold inlets be changed over on this tap, as ours are hot left and cold on right?
The inlet connections for the AR2 THBSM C need to be hot on the left and cold on the right when viewed from the front. They cannot be swapped round due to how the thermostat mixes the water.
Rob Asked :Does this have a non-return valve? I assume it is suitable for a combi boiler?
Yes, the Artisan thermostatic bath shower mixer is supplied with non-return valves and is suitable for a gas combi boiler.
Ian Asked :Hi - can you confirm whether the Bristan shower mixer AR2 THBSM C conforms to the hot pipe's convention on the left as you look at the front? I can't seem to find the answer in any documentation.
To confirm, for all Bristan products, the pipework must be hot on the left and cold on the right.
David Asked :The default setting of 38 degrees is OK for a shower but low to fill a bath. How easy is it to adjust the temperature? Any diagrams?
We have attached the fitting instructions for this bath shower mixer. Please download it from the Additional Info tab of the product. On page 4 of the PDF, you will find details of setting the temperature on your tap.
Mike Asked :In the highlight information/description of the Bristan Artisan Thermostatic Bath Shower Mixer Tap - AR2 THBSM it says the unit has a default setting of 38 degrees C to eliminate the selection of an unsafe temperature, which can be overridden by the user, my enquiry is this a simple procedure which the user can carry out easily? Thank you
Answered By Richard Yes it's easy to do. The instructions detail how to do this.
I had to alter the settings, it's not complicated.
Answered By Simon You would think the vendor should answer this question!
However, it is a simple procedure, the small button shown on the left side in the image hits an end stop at 38 deg, if it is depressed the temperature can be increased further as the tap head will rotate further past the stop
Answered By Amanda Hi yes it is easy to do. We had to do it as the bath fill wasn't really hot enough
I think there is a section in the instructions explaining how to do it but you take off the little cap on the tap handle the side of the hot/cold & turn the screw until you get the temperature you want, a little bit of trial & error but we did get ours quite a bit hotter & there was still room to go hotter.
Answered By Geoffrey This tap is slightly different to the one I purchased but I have bought 3 over the last 3 years and they are all the same. You remove a grommet from the thermostat knob, undo a securing nut and move the knob around on a spline forwards or backwards to adjust then reattach the locking nut and grommet. It is fairly simple and not something someone could by accident such as a medley child. Hope that helps
