Tony Asked :I have a Franke sink (two basins, one-quarter size) with a swing spray tap now. I wish to replace the tap. Will any Franke tap in the range fit the hole in the sink?
The tap hole size for the taps is standard and, therefore, should fit.
Margaret Asked :Does the tap head move, e.g. swivel between the main sink and a half bowl sink?
Answered By Victoria Yes.
Answered By Louisa The tap head swivels fully to both left and right. I only have one big sink (Franke Mythos), but I can see that it would probably also serve as a half-sink bowl if I had one. I love this tap; the pull-out nozzle is fantastic.
Answered By Catherine Hi, We bought this for a client's kitchen. She is very pleased with it, and yes, it does swivel.
Thanks
Catherine
ANDREA Asked :Hi, I have a query regarding this product. A friend of mine has a pull-out nozzle kitchen tap similar to this one. Still, from a different manufacturer, the pull-out nozzle tends to become stiff after a couple of months of using the tap; the same problem occurred even after the manufacturer replaced the tap. I just wanted to know what this tap is like after using it for around a year.
Answered By Messrs No, I've not had that trouble at all. However, I have discovered that the flexi hose does get quite dirty (no idea how stuff gets in there!), so I do regularly clean the hose by pulling the nozzle out as far as I can and wiping it down with spray. The tap is very solid, so it needs to be securely fastened to the sink, and I always hold the "hoop" of the tap with one hand while I pull out the nozzle with the other hand.
Answered By Matthew Hi, we have had this tap for about 3 years with no problems. The pull-out nozzle still works perfectly.
Answered By Darren It works totally fine; it would be like new if I cleaned it enough. I would recommend getting it.
Answered By Stephen I have now fitted more than 8 of these taps with no problems. I have one fitted in my own kitchen (it is over 10 years old). It is important to make sure the pull-out hose has no obstructions, and the lead weight is placed in the correct position. You must have a large enough hole through the countertop and/or sink for the pull-out to work correctly. If necessary, I remove a section of the shelf in the under-sink cupboard so that the weight is hanging rather than resting on the shelf. Also, I often build a small enclosure (boxing) around the pipework to stop anything that is stored under the sink from becoming snagged on the hose.
Answered By Franke If the problem is with pulling the hose from the end of the spout, this could be caused by the hose becoming kinked. If this is the case, you will need to disconnect the hose from under the tap and unravel it.
T Asked :Please, could you tell me if the actual base of the neck turns?
The spout swivels on this tap.
