Kate Asked :How do I remove my old Silverdale Hillingdon white toilet seat? It had a cracked lid, so I bought a replacement, which has fitting instructions but does not say how to remove the broken one.
The seat is a top-fix seat, so to remove it, you should just hold both the seat and lid upright vertically and pull up, and it should come off the pins that are in the pan. You can then replace the seat using the existing pins if you wish, or if you want to replace the pins, you can do so, as the seat does come supplied complete with new pins.
Alan Asked :I have a Jacuzzi Damea C/C WC with an ordinary toilet seat 365mm wide by 430 deep, plus a cover. The distance between fixing hole centres is around 145mm. Do you sell a direct replacement but a soft close?
The Damea has a seat with a wrap over the lid, as per the attached images. The seat should still fit the Jacuzzi Damea as Silverdale uses the same moulds now that were used by Jacuzzi previously, but they only do a soft close seat now, and the code to order is DSSEASCWHICH (QS-V4202). Download the technical PDF file in the Additional Info section of the product to check against your existing pan/seat.
B Asked :Do you stock a suitable replacement toilet seat and cover with soft closure for a Jacuzzi Medina bowl. Fixing centres 215mm.
The Jacuzzi Medina suite has now been moved into the Silverdale Hillingdon suite, but the pan changed and takes a different seat now as the hinge centres are only 160mm. The one you have here will be pre-2007, and this did have a larger hinge centre of around 215 - 220 mm. Silverdale does not manufacture the pan with this dimension any longer. The seat is only available with a standard hinge, not soft-closing, and the code is JSENAT500.
