Had the kitchen sink for over a year now, so it has been put to really good use. When first purchased we saw what we wanted at one of the large DIY superstores, but it was more expensive than we wanted to pay. We looked on line for the same item and found it a lot cheaper and with free delivery. A few days after ordering it was installed in our kitchens. We went for the dull finish stainless steel to match our taps and it looks great. We chose a sink with a large bowl so we could get most of our washing up in, we haven't got a dish washer, just me, and this worked fine. Very pleased with the sink, price and supplier. Thank you.
This sink exactly what I was looking for. its perfect it's got 1.0 bowl big space you can confertably wash dishes n design is very good
This is the second same item purchased due to the house move. Love this sink due to its large bowl and great.

Love the large bowl in this sink, looks fabulous, only downside - it doesn't empty very quickly :(

Ulrich Asked :Hello, What is the thickness/Gauge of Franke sinks, like the Gallassa? The website does not seem to indicate this, even though it is surely one of the key considerations when purchasing a good-quality sink. Also, do the different Franke sinks have different thicknesses?
All Franke stainless steel sinks are made of 18/10 stainless steel, although the stainless steel thickness can vary.
susan Asked :Could you please advise the size of the hole that the tap goes into?
The punched tap hole size is 35mm.
ian Asked :What are the hot/cold connections under the sink surface with this product, i.e. are there two flexible hose types?
There are two flexes for Hot and Cold connections.
Vanessa Asked :My passion is cooking. I am looking for a sink which is durable and spacious. Using big pots and pans daily, I wondered whether this sink would be suitable.
Answered By Micheal I have had this sink for a year now and found it a big improvement on our old sink. It handles all the pots and pans of our Sunday dinner easily for a single sink. A double sink might be better if you have above-average utensil capacity, but for a family of four, this copes admirably. The stainless steel cleans easily but also scratches easily, but that is part of kitchen life. The thickness of the steel is good compared to some on the market. It is not the cheapest out there, but I think it is worth the extra for the size and quality.
Answered By Richard The sink is perfect for large items. We have it in our utility room. We have had Franke sinks for 30 years + and they are very strong and durable would not consider any other make of sink.
Answered By Judith I looked for a while to find a sink where the bowl was what I considered large enough, and for me this sink does the job - I can happily leave pans, casserole dishes, roasting trays, etc., in to soak. I personally use a plastic bowl inside, so I cannot comment on how well the surface would stand up to such items being directly washed in it, but I have had it installed for a year now, and it has been really satisfactory for me. The draining board size is adequate for a standard wash - you may find you are limited in how much you can arrange to drain at the same time pots-wise. I have found that this sink suited me and has lasted well
Answered By Karen I would say there is plenty of room for big pots and pans, and it is a great size sink for that sort of thing. Even room for my roasting tins!

Answered By Angela Most definitely, that is the same reason why I purchased this sink. It has plenty of room for large pans, fry pans, and plates you will not be disappointed with. I hope this helps.
Answered By Patrick Hi, not sure what size pans you have, but the actual size of the bowl is: 45cm wide, 40cm front to back, and about 18cm deep.
Answered By George What is a big pot and pan, and how many? Obviously, it will take a fairly large pot individually to wash and set aside on the draining board; it will accommodate two or three pans to soak. It depends on how it is being used. On the whole a very good sink.
Answered By maria This is a sturdy sink, and the bowl is very deep. Much deeper than any other sinks I have seen. My kitchen fitter commented on this. He did have some difficulties fitting it because of how big and deep the bowl is. It does scratch very easily, though.
A. Asked :Does the sink come with a hole punched out for the tap? And as I am replacing my old one-bowl, i.e. Drainer sink (same size), do I still need the siphon plumbing kit or will my old one fit?
The sink comes with a hole punched out for a tap. You can use the old siphon kit; however, whilst replacing the sink, it is best practice to install a new one as the cost of a new one is relatively low.
