with a gravity fed system, we had low pressure hot water and higher pressure (mains power cold water). The normal mixer taps on the market did not work with this unbalanced pressures. The plumbing forum recommended this product and we were not disappointed as it is not affected by unequal pressures - the tap does the job for us very well

D.E.DONOVAN Asked :DIMENSION OF OUTSIDE EDGE OF HOT TAP TO OUTSIDE EDGE OF COLD TAP.
The widest point's measurement across the handles of the tap is approximately 154 mm.
Stuart Asked :Is the Bristan club monobloc basin mixer suitable for unbalanced water pressures, low pressure hot and high pressure cold?
This tap would ideally require balanced hot and cold pressures, however it should work as long as the hot is not less than 0.2 bar.
Anand Asked :I have a bathroom washbasin with a mains cold water supply and a gravity-fed system hot water supply. Previously I had two separate taps that worked fine. Now having difficulty with mixers as the hot water flow gets reduced. I am told that I should go for a dual flow-type mixer valve - is the Bristan Value Club Dual Flow Basin Mixer Tap With Pop Up Waste - VAC DFBAS C MT a suitable product? Is there a separate flow of hot water through the tap, and will there be a good hot water flow?
We can confirm the basin mixer is Dual Flow meaning there are separate feeds for the hot and cold supplies. For more information, please download the installation PDF file from the Additional Info tab of the product for VAC DFBAS C MT, or you can download it directly from here.
Richard Asked :Is this tap a true dual flow item, i.e. mixes only at the end of the spout, not in the tap's body? This is important as I don't want the mains cold water going back up the hot pipe! Thank you
We can confirm the VAC DF BAS C MT is a Dual Flow product, and the water would come out of the tap in two separate streams and will not mix in the tap's spout.
