I am extremely pleased with my taps. I do not know if it was the plumber who fitted them, or whether the taps themselves were made to open and close "widdershins". All the other taps I have ever used turn on anti-clockwise and off clockwise. These taps turn on clockwise and off anti-clockwise. It is bizarre and it pleases me no end because I am left-handed :).
