This concealed cistern is not compatible with the Gerberit OP-128209 flush plate; it is only compatible with Grohe flush plates.

I can see that the flushing plate on the cistern above is vertical, whereas mine is vertical; they seem to have the same dimensions. Will it work/fit?

The 38863000 & 38858SH0 aren't compatible, as the 38863000 will only work with vertical flush plates. Grohe Skate Cosmopolitan WC Flush Plate Chrome and Grohe Skate Air WC Wall Flush Plate are compatible with Grohe 80mm Flushing Cistern For WC.

The 38863000 is fully compatible with any floor-standing back-to-wall pan.

I want to buy the following concealed Grohe cistern QS-V81816. Is the flush plate QS-V55842 compatible? Or is QS-V57651 compatible too? If these are not suitable, can you please advise which flush plates will work? I do not need a dual flush and prefer smaller flush plates.

The 37761000 push button assembly is not compatible with the 38863000 concealed cistern. The Grohe Single Chrome Flush Air Push Button For Removable Shelf - 37060000, which is very similar, and the Grohe Skate Pneumatic Single Chrome WC Flush Wall Plate are compatible with the 38863000 cisterns.
