Grohe TurboStat

It is a revolutionary thermostat shower technology which is the fastest and most accurate on the market today. The increased sensitivity of the thermoelement now enables these thermostats to react to water pressure changes at much quicker speeds and provide water at the desired temperature in a fraction of a second while maintaining it for the entire shower.

Grohe SafeStop & SafeStop (Plus)

It is an excellent safety feature for homes with children, preventing scalding accidents. This button is factory set at 38°C, which prevents users from increasing the water temperature beyond a specific limit. When required, higher temperatures can be selected by pushing the button. Additional safety is provided by the SafeStop Plus limiter, which ensures that the temperature does not exceed 43°C.

Grohe DreamSpray

This feature allows you a showering experience unlike any other. It offers an even water distribution to every nozzle, while the SmartRain spray created by the Spray Dimmer on the hand shower reduces water use by up to 40%. Does the 800 come ready to straight swap with the existing old Grohtherm 1000?

If the existing water inlet pipes are 150 mm apart, the Grohtherm 800 will fit as a direct swap indeed. You may not even need to use the supplied 'S' unions.

What is the difference between the 800 and 1000 Grohe Grohtherm mixer valve?

The main difference is aesthetic, the body is a different shape, and the handles are different. Also, 1000 has the Cooltouch feature; when the body of the valve stays cool, the 800 doesn't have this feature.
