Tom Asked :My ideal standard Arc 4/2.6 Litre Close Coupled Cistern in my downstairs toilet is dripping a tiny bit into the bowel due to this over time the water level in the cistern gets low enough that it flushes. How am I able to adjust is to stop this happening?
This could be due to a problem with either your flush valve or ball valve. First, isolate your water supply does this stop the leak? If so you need to replace the diaphragm in your ball valve. This item is available in our service kits. If water continues to drain, then you need to replace your flush valve seal. First, you need to identify your seal. Does your cistern lid lift straight off or do you have to undo a white nut under your push button attached to a bridge piece on top of your flush valve? If it lifts straight off, you need SV01967. If you unscrew a white nut, you need E003967. For spare parts, please contact the manufacturer or your local plumber.
