Colin Asked :Thanks for your response regarding the installation of the 0.4 bar Rangemaster Salorno kitchen mixer tap. I have a gravity feed head of 4.3 m which I think should provide 0.43 bar of pressure. Why do you quote ahead greater than 5 m is required? [It seems to be almost impossible to find a nice mixer tap which will work in a typical house - I never had this problem when changing taps over in the past. Why the general change for the worse]?
The manufacturer recommends 0.4 bar water pressure for smooth working; this tap will work in your case.
Colin Asked :I have an imbalanced mains cold and gravity hot feed and want a suitable monobloc kitchen mixer. The one I favour is the Rangemaster Salerno (twin lever, LP). How can this be installed to work correctly with an imbalanced pressure feed? I don't want to install a pump on the hot water supply.
This tap requires 0.4 bar water pressure. It will work on a gravity-fed water system only when the vertical measurement between the cold water tank base and the tap spout outlet is more than 5 metres.
