Stuart Asked :Hi, probably a daft question, but can I use this cistern with an ordinary old-fashioned, NOT close-coupled toilet pan? And would I need any other fittings? It would be a shame if I couldn't because the dimensions are absolutely ideal for replacing a plastic slimline cistern that's no longer fit for purpose.
Grohe Bau exposed ceramic is only ideal for combining with the GROHE Bau Ceramic floor-standing WCs (39428000, 39429000 or 39349000). Therefore, we are unable to recommend any other product.
Paul Asked :We are looking for a new WC for a downstairs toilet. We have a Grohe sink. The waste pipe goes into the ground, not out of the wall. We have previously tried a Grohe close coupled toilet with horizontal waste output but it sat too far out from the wall (the center of the waste is 14.5 cm from the wall). I am looking at QS-V80682 which seems to have a waste that goes into the floor. However, I want to match it with a wall mounted cistern. Does QS-w80685 work with the above toilet and do I need any additional connectors to marry the cistern to the WC.
The two products are compatible and will make up a complete system. In most cases you don't need to purchase any other parts for installation, only a generic 3/8 inch inlet pipe for the water feed which can be purchased from any plumber merchants and DIY shops.
