Horizontal Outlet

When the pan has piping at the back, inside the wall, it is called a horizontal outlet toilet or pan. As the cisterns are concealed or placed against the wall, most plumbing is hidden out of sight.

Washdown Model

A washdown toilet uses the weight of the water and gravity to push out the toilet waste from the toilet bowl. The washdown toilet is designed with a short and wide trapway, so that waste can quickly enter the trapway using just the force of water from the tank. A washdown model includes a push-button flush and has a skirted design with a smaller water surface area and a short trapway and can easily handle heavy loads without getting clogged.

Optional: Soft-Close Seat

Soft-closing seats are a new alternative to classic toilet seats. Their modern design allows them to close slowly, while their controlled manner of closing does not require you to assist them. It also shuts automatically, allowing it to come down at a pace that does not make much noise.

Can you recommend a concealed cistern that goes with this toilet?

The concealed cistern choice is your preference; We advise a high-pressure flush system. I.e. Geberit or Grohe. I am aware Geberit do a product called a DuoFix, which is a frame and cistern combined.

Hi, I want to purchase this item to put in the master bathroom in my home, just wondering if the "alpin white finish" will begin to discolour? The WC I previously had discoloured, and as a result, it didn't match the "white finish" of the vanity unit I had in the bathroom.

Answered By James Hi, I have installed many of these before and have never had any customer complaints. As a general rule of thumb I always try to purchase items of the same range to avoid different tones. Hope this helps.

Answered By Shaun I was also worried about the match with other items but I was well pleased with the brilliant white of the ceramic finish and having had it in use for about a year now I can find no sign of deterioration in the finish. We give the item a thorough clean weekly and put a descalant (such as Harpic) round the bowl overnight. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Answered By Robert We use Duravit products all the time as they are always excellent quality. Certainly never had any of their porcelain products discolour. You wont be disappointed.
