Toughened glass, tempered or safety glass as it is rightly called, is five times harder than regular glass of the same size and thickness, which makes it so that it won’t break as easily. It also shatters with scattering as it tends to break into tiny, blunt pieces without harming anyone nearby. Hi Peter, We do not recommend that you fit two side panels to this Shower Door. We cannot guarantee such an enclosure's safety as they have not been designed for a three-sided enclosure. Should you require a three-sided enclosure, there are a number of them that you can choose from.
