Jean-Yves Asked :Hello, I bought this shower tap 7 years ago, and be very happy with it. However, now the thermostatic cartridge has cracked. Do you sell a replacement cartridge? if not could you give me some reference number so I can buy a replacement?/ Many thanks,
The cartridge is an SBARCA01
Tom Asked :Are these still supplied with the reversible cartridge? My hot and cold are the wrong way round, and this does seem to be a solution. Thanks
The CD324 has never been reversible? Only the showers fitted with Valquest brown plastic cartridges can be reversed. You would have to change pipe work in the wall. The hot water comes to the on/off on the left, and cold water comes to the thermostat on the right of CD324.
Peter Asked :Hi, I bought this tap just under a year ago from you, but the thermostat is not letting hot water get through, do you have a replacement thermostat I could try. Many Thanks Peter
Have you taken the cartridge out and cleaned it from any limescale that may have built up, If that does not work you can call Ultra Technical at 01422 417110 and select option 5.
PAUL Asked :The ultra reef thermostatic bath shower mixer tap cd324 comes with a 10-year warranty, what does it cover mainly, is the cartridge included in the warranty?
Cartridges come with a 12-month warranty; the full warranty will cover faults in/on the mixer body and surface finish failure and such.
tom Asked :What is the Valquest cartridge? Thanks.
Ultra Thermostatic Shower Valves contain the patented Valquest cartridge, making them simple to install and easy to maintain after installation. The cartridge is fully reversible, meaning if hot and cold supplies are the wrong way round, it doesn’t need re-plumbing. Remove the cartridge, turn 180° and replace. It is highly resistant to calcium build-up, even in hard water areas. Full thermal protection to prevent scalding even in the event of hot or cold water failure. Thermostatic control to +/- 2 degrees even if the temperature or incoming pressures fluctuate.
Richard Asked :I have just moved into a flat with a combi-boiler with a mixer shower fitted without a thermostat. I hope to replace the mixer unit without going under the bath and replacing the mixer unit with a thermostatic mixer unit. The mixer unit that is currently fitted appears to be identical to the Ultra Reef Thermostatic Bath Shower Mixer but without the thermostat. Like the Ultra Reef, it has a gap of 180mm between the centres of the hot and cold pipes and slopes inwards so that the next two nuts are closer together. The Ultra Reef Thermostatic Bath Shower Mixer dimensions are shown as 180mm between the centres of the hot and cold pipes, which is the same as my fitting. On my mixer, the next two nuts are only 155mm apart, but it is not clear from the product dimensions what the same measurement is on the Ultra Reef Thermostatic Mixer. Would you be in a position to confirm the measurement between the centre of the two nuts? These are not the nuts where the unit fits onto the hot and cold pipe, but the nuts are level with the top of the unit. I hope I may be able to fit the unit from the aforementioned nuts, as this would allow me to fit the unit without struggling under the bath itself.
The valve has dimensions between the nuts of 150mm, which I think will be same as yours. Please contact Ultra, and they can see about getting a thermostat cartridge.
Gloria Asked :Is this Ultra CD324 thermostatic deck mounted bath shower mixer to TMV2 standard? I am seeing a lot of reductions on this model and wonder what is wrong with it.
Answered By Aspi The turning knobs are slippery to turn. old people may find it difficult. as we use it more and more the flow rate knob gets harder to turn on the disk washer. the shower outlet would have been better on the top. The thermostat control is not that well regulated.
Hope this helps in modifying this design.
