Reginald Asked :I wish to replace my shower, which is currently a manual mixer shower. Our house is gravity fed. I am currently getting 7 litres p.m. of water and have fitted a Stuart Turner Monsoon Pump in the airing cupboard, which gives me 14 litres p.m. If I change to an Aqualisa Quartz Classic model, can I keep the current pumped setup, and can you tell me which model I should choose, or would it be better to dispose of the pump I have and buy the gravity version with its own pump assembly? The pump I have is quite new.
You can proceed with either option; if you wish to keep your existing Stuart Turner pump, then you will need to purchase the high-pressure version of the shower (QZD.A1.BV.DVFC.20). Alternatively, you can disconnect the Stuart Turner pump and get the pumped version of the shower (QZD.A2.BV.DVFC.20). The performance will be similar whichever option you choose. The Aqualisa pumped system can only be connected to the shower, so if the Stuart Turner pump you currently have, is connected to any other outlets in the house (bath and/or basin tap, e.g.), then it would be best to keep this connection as it is.
