Michael Asked :Why does the Santona 500mm wide have different-sized bleeder arrangements? One side has an easy screwdriver release, and the other has a large nut requiring a large spanner. Do both achieve bleeding effects? The radiator remains cold at the top, so must both be unscrewed?
Only the screwdriver should be used to release the trapped air in the radiator so that it can start heating. Please do not use more than 1 bleed valve on radiators, otherwise it won’t function healthily. Unscrew the bleed valve to release the air till water comes from the valve, then tighten the bleed valve again with a screwdriver. After this, please check the water level from the boiler if it needs to top up from the main water entry to the boiler.
