The Deva Ellesmere Flexi Deck Mounted Kitchen Sink Mixer Tap is suitable for installation within any modern or traditional kitchen layout and is finished with chrome or matt black finish choice. Manufactured from solid brass material from front to back, this unit includes a pull-down nozzle, ideal for rinsing or filling pots and pans quickly and easily. The tap incorporates an internal ceramic cartridge for smooth flow control and works at 6L/min to save water and your bills. Suitable for low and high water pressure, it needs a minimum 0.3 bar to maximum 5.0 bar of water pressure and is backed by a two-year guarantee against any manufacturing defects.

What sort of coating is used on the matte black version? I'm interested in whether it will chip easily, etc.

The matte black version is coated with PVD, which stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. This type of coating is very durable and is used in tools and car manufacturing. Once it's applied, it's almost impossible to remove, so it won't chip easily. PVD coatings come in different colours, like brushed gold, gun metal black, and graphite.
