The Armitage Shanks Alterna 21 Half Inch Bib Taps are constructed from strong and shining chrome plated brass material and came supplied to the user in a pair. Offering a flow rate of 7.5 litres per minute at 0.1 bar water pressure, these units are ideal for inclusion within a low-pressure water system. A WRAS approved model that features self centralising installation, this set of products is operated via easy to use lever handles and includes a quarter turn ceramic disc valve internally for smooth movement.

I work closely with the NHS, currently over at Guys hospital. We have to put many filters onto our taps and wanted to use these taps in our sluice rooms. The problem we have is that we need a threaded connection on the outlet of the tap so we can fit our POU Egg filters onto them with tap adapters. Can you confirm whether these taps have threaded outlets, please?

The B1457 Alterna 21 bib taps have a threaded connection for the aerator to attach to with a male threaded outlet connection. The female threaded inlet of the aerator section connects to this thread, as shown in the exploded diagram. I cannot advise on the suitability of using third-party filters against this product.
