As architects, we aspire to enlarge spaces in tight situations. This product, paired with a narrow cistern, will allow achieving shallow projection, which is difficult to achieve with traditional WC frames. Great find.

Please could you tell me what the maximum depth is, as only a minimum of 140mm is stated?

The maximum does depend on the unit it goes in, as the frame would need to be adjusted. Please see the attached technical diagram for more information.
