The toilet seat itself is a good product, nicely produced and soft close works great, BUT after fitting the pins onto which the seat engages, which are exactly in the correct position and the centres are correct, I checked the release button and looked at the mechanism, it didn't appear to be moving properly but fitted the seat anyway, now got a problem removing the seat. One side of the mechanism releases but not the other without a bit of jiggling the one side off the pin. Rang QS and was told to take a video or pictures and send, yeh right, I'm 77 and can do that, not; the release mechanism doesn't work QS.
replaced my original cracked seat. It went straight on no problem, excellent quality.

Rob Asked :I need to get a new RAK Tonique toilet seat as the "quick release" mechanism (the 2 silver buttons) has failed. 2 questions: 1. Can these quick-release fixings be bought separately and retro-fitted? 2. Are these quick releases included if I need to buy a new seat? The only pictures I can find are the lid of the seat and not the mechanism that is at the rear of the seat. I hope you can assist.
If the quick-release mechanism fails, unfortunately, it would require a new seat. The RAKSEAT015 – Tonique seat is equipped with a quick-release button located at the back of the seat.
