An overflow is a small hole or opening at the upper part of a sink, basin, bidet or tub that drains away water upon reaching its level so that no water is spilt. When a basin or bath does not come with this design feature, it is called 'without-overflow' and will need a compatible drain.

I have three questions about the Villeroy and Boch subway 3.0 bath in Quaryl. Does it come with the overflow and waste included? Can tap holes be drilled in the rim of the bath? If tap holes can be drilled, would holes 180mm apart on either side of the overflow be feasible without encroaching on the overflow?

Yes, matching waste and overflow are supplied with a bath. Tap holes can be drilled in the bath's rim, but you do this at your own risk. Please refer to the attached technical drawing for further details.
