I bought the towel rail from QS simply because they were much cheaper than anybody else. It didn't turn up on the day as expected, so I contacted the courier & they said that QS had cancelled the order. I contacted QS, who told me this was not the case & the courier had lost it. I read the reviews online & was shocked as I thought I had been ripped off. I then received an email from QS saying they would dispatch another, I was still worried, and then the following morning, it turned up. I opened it in front of the courier to check it wasn't damaged or pieces missing as other reviews have said, but it was in spectacular condition & was a pleasure to look at when fitted. I would 100% use QS again & would highly recommend them in the future.
When we moved into our new house the two en suites and the family bathroom all had bog standard radiators fitted to the walls with silly little towel rails fixed above them. So far we've fitted a Hudson Reed Countess towel rail in our bathroom and in the family bathroom. They look really smart and keep the towels beautifully warm and dry. They're great value for money, they arrived promptly, and were extremely well packed. The guest bathroom will be next.
Very happy with this - it was a replacement for an old corroded one, and the best match for the size (width, hiehgt, fixings, pipe spacing) - not exact but good enough. Seems good quality - nice solid metal, well finished welds and good chrome finish. The price was good, instructions clear, and the delivery was good.
Lovely item. Easy to fit. And works like a dream, really gives off heat. Good communication from QS during buying and product being delivered.

Christine Asked :Are the valves shown on the countess Hudson Reed towel rail thermostatic valves? I don't know which ones to choose.
All Compatible valves (Thermostatic and Standard ) are available in the Optional Product. Please refer "Customise your Product" section to find all the compatible Valves.
Jon Asked :I'm looking at the Countess traditional towel rail. Is it made from mild steel?
No, the Countess Traditional Heated Towel Rail is made from steel
K Asked :Hi, We currently have pipes coming from floor 460 apart, so would This leave a plumber room to connect to this radiator?
The pipe centres on this radiator are 528mm, leaving you with a 34mm gap on each side of the pipe. So if you let your plumber know, he’ll know if it will work with the valves.
Angela Asked :What size valve does the Countess towel radiator take? I'm looking for a towel rail to connect to a 22mm pipe - will this fit, or do you have adaptors to make it fit?
The connections are half Inch BSP, not 22mm. Unfortunately, we don’t supply any adaptors.
charles Asked :I need a floor-mounted chrome traditional towel rail with a left-handed (with the unit fixed to the wall front view) removable screw to take a heating element. Most units have only one removable screw on the right hand. Please advise.
The ht301 cannot take a heating element.
Jodie Asked :Hi, Can the radiator be heated with electricity?
We are sorry you cannot run this on electricity. You cannot fit an element on the HT301 as the way the valves are fitted; the element would have to be bent; you can only fit on straight rails where the element fits up inside the rail. You could fit thermostatic radiator valves, but these will only set the water temperature going into the radiator.
Victoria Asked :Can the Hudson Reed Countess Traditional Towel rail be fitted with an electric heating element?
Answered By Hudson Reed No, sorry, it can't be fitted.
We will soon verify the details and add your rating appropriately.
