Can a replacement Roper Rhodes Fill Valve be installed with the cistern still in situ (by removing it from inside the cistern and without affecting the plumbing into the cistern?), or does the value screw into the cistern from underneath and therefore need to be unscrewed from underneath the cistern to remove it? I need to replace the valve, and I am looking to understand what is involved.

To remove/change the inlet valve, you will need access to the underside, as you will need to disconnect your plumbing, remove the fixing nut from underneath, and then pull the inlet out.

Besides water inlet position, both cisterns are pneumatic and perform the same.

I note the TR9001 is a bottom water inlet. On the tech drawing, it is shown on the left side (as you face it). Can it be swapped to the right?

Hi John, The TR9001 is fixed on the left-hand side and cannot be swapped to the right hand. It may be worthwhile for you to look at our extensive range of cisterns, including inlets on the right.
