This 3-In-1 Set For WC With Flushing Cistern - the latest offering from Grohe's Rapid SL range - bespeaks quality. The main attraction of this Rapid SL is a super-efficient cistern, which has been insulated against condensation, and it is also compatible with a high and low-pressure system. Low on noise, it can be supplied water from left, right or back. The ABS finish pack includes a chrome-plated wall plate with dual flush actuation. Quite complex to fit one of these if it's your first. Instructions are in picture format only like you get from Ikea. So if you struggling you won't have a clue what's going on. We found one measurement in the instructions that made no sense at all, so in the end, we fitted it as we would anything, using our common sense and general skills. The whole product is high quality though, including the cistern, which apparently is serviceable though the faceplate, which is a great feature. I used one of these because I really wanted a wall hung toilet, but after fitting it, it gives me anxiety every I sit on it, and I hope none of my really big mates come over to use it. But it does look great. I bought the really short one, which I wouldn't do again. as the faceplate is behind the toilet lid, which is a pain. I may use one again, will have to wait and see.

It should work as long as the bolt holes are 180/230mm and it can flush with 6 litres.

Does the Rapid come complete with a cistern? Also, what is the difference between the rapid and the solido? The pictures are a little confusing.

The Rapid SL frames do come with the cisterns pre-fitted indeed. Some Solido frames are flat-packed and need to be assembled, whereas the rapid SL will be fully welded.

Can the face plate on this Grohe Rapid 38773000 frame be mounted either on the front or top or just the front as shown in the picture Secondly will a rimless toilet work with this frame as it is low in height compared to the other Grohe frame?

As this is the shorter frame, the flush plate can be on the top or front, and the rimless toilet will work as long as it is wall hung, but just make sure that if you put the flush plate on the front, the toilet lid when lifted will cover the flush plate.
