Can you tell me if the round chrome pipe surrounds can be removed and replaced? I ask this as I need to purchase gold taps.

Unfortunately, the chrome pipe surrounds cannot be removed, as removing it might cause leaking.

The collars that cover the wall hole are plastic chrome; however, the threaded elbow is actually metal.
