Geberit Sigma80 Touchless Flush Plate with an attractive finish is a fantastic example of cutting edge technology in bath-ware. The ingenious flushing mechanism is activated by the simple wave of a hand. It features light fields that are illuminated when your hand passes over them and what's exciting is that they can be set in one of two different colours allowing you to match them to your mood or surroundings.

The plates functions can be adjusted to determine whether the light fields should be lit up permanently or only when the plates sensor technology detects that the toilet is in use. The unit can be locked to prevent tampering and can also be set for automatic flushing. It must be connected to a power supply system and is compatible with Sigma 12cm (UP320) concealed cistern only.

Dual-Flush

A toilet with a flushing mechanism with two different buttons for flushing solid and liquid waste, thereby saving water.

Orientation Light

It is a motion-sensitive LED light included with the Geberit system. It is built into the unit, so it turns on automatically when you approach it. This gentle beam is bright enough to help you find your way and makes your night-time bathroom trip a pleasant experience. You can further customise the settings, making the lights bright or dim based on your preference.

Mains-Operated

Mains-operated devices work on electricity by plugging into electrical wall sockets. These require higher electrical energy and can't be operated using batteries as small batteries can't power the device. Large, non-portable electrical appliances are typically mains operated.

Touchless Activation

The Sigma80 actuator plate allows for touch-free, hygienic actuation of the toilet flush. This hands-free mechanism is also used to open and close the WC lid of the Geberit AquaClean Mera shower toilet.

Drywall

Drywall, or wallboard, also called plasterboard or gypsum board, is a common building material used in interiors for constructing walls and ceilings. Drywall is gypsum plaster in the middle with layers of paper or fiberglass mats on either side. Drywalls do not need mortar or plaster. The gypsum core is rigid, and the other surface is smooth.

Transformers

A transformer is typically made of two coils of wire wound around a magnetic core. Transformers is simply a voltage control device that steps up or steps down voltage. A step-up transformer increases the output voltage while a step-down transformer decreases the output voltage, keeping the overall voltage constant.

I am renovating a house and considering a Geberit cistern and Geberit Sigma80 touchless flush plate for 3 bathrooms. My only concern is that we get the occasional power outage in our country location. In the event of power loss, the flush plate will not activate. In such an event, is it possible, and simple, to remove the flush plate and operate the flush mechanically?
